Old One Ear

Posted by Dornbrau (Colorado Springs, United States) on 15 April 2007 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

We named this Mexican Wolf 'Old One Ear' for the simple reason that one of his ears had been bitten half off, probably during a fight sometime in the past. This picture was taken through the thick display window at the Wolf Woods exhibit at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. A small pack of wolves live in the enclosed living woods, giving visitors a glimpse into their lives through a thick glass window on one side of the enclosure.
