During the summer months in the small rural town of Larkspur Colorado, the clock turns back to an era where knights in shining armor and ladies fair walk the cobble stone streets of the 16th century kingdom of Good King Henry and his fair Queen Ann. The Annual Colorado Renaissance Festival has been a local favorite for going on 31 years. Each year my children look forward to the fair where they get to dress up as princesses and pirates. Personally, I'm quite happy just walking through the crowded courtyard streets while drinking wine and gnawing on a smoked turkey leg, just taking in the revelry. We never miss the joust, a battle between good and evil. On this particular weekend the dark knight won... much to the delight of the crowd.
Check out some slideshows from last year's festival: 2006 Renaissance Festival (b&w)
2006 Renaissance Festival (color, long version)
(I tried my hand at cleaning off some distracting shadows from the bottom and erasing a spectator from the background to preserve the theme... a bit sloppy but I'm learning. I played around with the idea of black and white, but I love the colors and decided to keep it in full color.)

So the first shoot I see is great.
I love that kind of stuff, although I have usaly gone for the music, well and dressing in costume. But being in Europe we don't really have the same kind of stuff or so I have heard.
(Or stuff is much better of course (; )

It sounds like a very fun festival to attend. And the picture is just fine. I can't tell where you removed the spectator at all.
